Torrey Pines House Sitting

Writer's picture: Del Mar Dog LifeDel Mar Dog Life

Firinneach was a bit anxious the first time we met and even more anxious when his owner went away but relaxed a bit on our walks. Firinneach is a 2 year old pit bull that is very mellow on walks. He will hold his leash in his mouth and direct you to the spot he wants to sniff.

Firinneach is dog reactive when passing other dogs on the trail so he went solo on all of his hikes. I would let him sniff as long as he needed because he didn’t pull unless he saw another dog on the trail. Then he would give an enthusiastic pit bull greeting until I put him in the middle of my legs.

On our visits we walked Dar Trail in the Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve, had an evening after dinner walk past local restaurants and a walk the next morning to the cliffs by Torrey Pines Beach.

While our overnight house sitting is full there is still some availability for pet sitting visits to your home over the holidays. We are available for drop in visits for dog walking and dinner in Del Mar, Solana Beach, Rancho Santa Fe and Carmel Valley.
