Milo and Frosty spotted a coyote during our walk on Carmel Knolls Dr. This is the fourth time on Carmel Knolls I have encountered a coyote on my dog walks.
At first I thought they were reacting to a rabbit or lizard but the coyote appeared in front of us. It was smaller than both of them and didn’t want any interaction with my dogs. This coyote was only interested in eating the abundant amount of rabbits in our area and did not want to get close to larger dogs like Milo and Frosty. Then the coyote crossed the path in front of us and ran across the street in some bushes while Milo and Frosty barked.
There is a sizable population of coyotes in San Diego and they are active at all hours due to the upcoming mating season. Our staff at Del Mar Dog Life is experienced in keeping your dogs safe from coyotes or other dogs while walking in your neighborhood.
